Plexus Group was founded on a simple conviction: the people who design a facility's systems and the people who install them should answer to the same company. Three decades later, that conviction still shapes every project we take on.
Plexus Installations, Inc. was incorporated in Maryland in 1995 to deliver telecommunications and network infrastructure for public and institutional clients. As those clients' needs grew, so did Plexus — adding electrical construction, fire alarm and life safety, electronic security, intelligent transportation systems, outside plant construction, and technology design and engineering.
Today, operating as Plexus Group, the company self-performs electrical, communications, and electronic safety and security work for state and local agencies, transportation authorities, school systems, universities, and commercial clients across Maryland and Virginia. We are headquartered in Silver Spring with an office in Baltimore.
Plexus Group is led by Cristina Vena Mosby, Owner and Chief Executive Officer, and is a certified Minority Woman-Owned business. Most of our work arrives the same way it has for years — through repeat clients and general contractors who have built with us before.
Plexus Group designs, builds, and maintains the electrical, communications, and security systems that public agencies, schools, transportation networks, and commercial facilities depend on — across Maryland, Virginia, and the Washington, D.C. region.

Bid documents conflict. Specifications contradict drawings. We read the whole package, flag what doesn't align, and put our exceptions in writing before award instead of discovering them in the field.
Subcontracting a core scope means subcontracting control of it. Cable, terminations, gear, devices, and underground work are performed by our people, with our equipment, under our supervision.
Test results, labeling, and as-built records are part of the job and part of the price. A system you cannot document is a system you cannot maintain.
The installation is the beginning of the system's life. We structure our work so that maintaining it is an option from the first day — because the team that inherits it deserves a partner who already knows the building.
Cristina leads Plexus Group's strategy, client relationships, and growth, guiding the company's evolution from a telecommunications installer into a full-service electrical, communications, and technology contractor.
Our project managers and field superintendents bring deep experience on complex technology projects in occupied buildings, live transportation corridors, and active campuses. Every project is assigned a designated project manager and lead technicians from mobilization through closeout.
Plexus Group is an IBEW signatory contractor with Local 24 and Local 26, giving our clients access to a trained, credentialed electrical and communications workforce across the Baltimore and Washington regions.
Our crews are supported by in-house design, CAD, and engineering capability, so the people in the field and the people on the drawings work from the same plan.

Every Plexus Group project operates under a documented quality management process — from submittals prepared to the specification through independent testing and closeout documentation. Concrete foundations are tested and certified by independent laboratories. Fiber is tested bidirectionally with OTDR and power meter. Test results and as-built drawings are furnished at closeout, every time.
Safety is planned into every job before mobilization, with particular discipline on the conditions where most of our work happens: occupied buildings, energized systems, and live traffic.
